Safety & Health
Why is a slow feeder necessary?
Many pets tend to eat too fast, which can lead to life-threatening choking or bloat. Our slow feeders are designed to pace their eating, turning a 30-second meal into a 5-minute activity.
What is an elevated bowl, and why does my pet need one?
Standard bowls on the floor force pets to crouch, putting strain on their neck and spine. Elevated bowls bring the food to a natural height, aiding digestion and protecting their joints as they age.
Can a bowl really prevent vomiting?
Yes. Many pets suffer from "scarf and barf" caused by rapid eating and poor posture. By combining an elevated height with a slow-feeding design, we help pets swallow less air and digest more comfortably.
What is whisker fatigue?
The Science: A cat’s whiskers are highly sensitive sensory organs equipped with proprioceptors that send constant signals to their brain.
The Problem: When a cat eats from a bowl that is too narrow or deep, their whiskers are forced to brush against the sides. This constant contact causes sensory overload and stress, known as whisker fatigue.
The Symptoms: If your Champ is pawing food out of the bowl to eat off the floor, acting hesitant to start their meal, or becoming irritable at feeding time, they may be experiencing whisker fatigue.
